Johann Fredrich Schöttle, known as Fritz or Fredrich, was the first to travel to America. We know this because Emilie's ship records say she went to stay with her brothe Fredrich in Buffalo, New York. Fredrich married a women called Johanna. She already had two children, Joesph and Barbara. According to the 1910 census records of Buffalo, Fredrich was a baker. They lived at 40 Kiefer Street. It also mentions Johana was a dressmaker. When Emilie arrived, in May of 1904 she was soon sent to be a live in maid for another family.
